Dr. Clay Bates

Dr. Clay Bates is originally from Rock Hill, South Carolina. He moved to Augusta after graduating from Clemson University where he played baseball. Dr. Bates attended the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University where he earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine and met his wife Jennifer. Dr. Bates completed a residency at the local Charlie Norwood Augusta VA in Advanced Education in General Dentistry.

Dr. Bates’s treatments focus in the areas of cosmetic and general dentistry to include fillings, crowns and bridges, removable partials and dentures, teeth whitening, dental implants, IV sedation and more. He is committed to fully educating his patients and partnering with them to achieve the highest level of oral health.

Dr. Bates continues his professional training and education through his memberships in the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association. He enjoys giving back to his community; he has donated his services to local CSRA dental clinics including the Hope Dental Clinic and Christ Community Clinic. Dr. Bates also had the privilege of serving on a Dental Mission Trip Team to Hinche, Haiti in the summer of 2016.

When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Bates enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer and two boys. He also enjoys outdoor activities including fishing, golfing and working out.
